Many people equate depression with sadness but the truth is depression can be a lot of things. Oftentimes this sneaky brain disorder feels like hopelessness, isolation, guilt, anxiety, a lack of energy and/or disrupted sleep.


Everyone, at one time or another, experiences anxiety like when facing a deadline, flying or preparing for a presentation – but this is what we should call “stress.” For many anxiety arises for no reason at all. Sometimes just thinking about decreasing stress can cause anxiety.

Binge Eating Disorder

You may be embarrassed about overeating and hide food or how much you are eating from family and friends. You have been on a million diets and vow to stop, but you feel such a compulsion that you can't resist the urges. Thoughts of food preoccupy your mind, like a food obsession, until you finally give in to a binge episode.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

People with ADHD have a hard time organizing things, remembering instructions and initiating projects. These symptoms can affect work and relationships.


PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) affects some people after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, like combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault.

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain includes many different conditions, The ones we treat most often are Fibromyalgia and Migraines. Fibromyalgia is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, memory and mood issues. Migraines are more than just headaches; they include physical symptoms that affect the brain and the body.


HSDD (Hypoactive sexual desire disorder) is low sexual desire accompanied by marked distress and interpersonal difficulty. In cases of HSDD, low desire cannot be accounted for by another disorder or by a general medical problem.

Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that usually starts slowly and worsens over time. It most often begins in people over 65 years of age and is the cause of 60% to 70% of cases of dementia.
