Genetics pl
ays a major role in depression. According to Stanford School of Medicine, children who have a parent or sibling diagnosed with depression are 10-20% more likely to develop depression. If any relatives are diagnosed with depression, it is important to be vigilant in case your child starts to express symptoms as well.
