Myths about Clinical Trials

Myth: I would be risking my health by enrolling in a clinical research trial.

Fact: There are many rules and regulations put in place that clinical researchers must follow in order to ensure the utmost safety of their participants. Most participants enrolled in clinical research trials are monitored regularly by a physician. Under no circumstances will a participant be forced to continue with a clinical trial if he/she does not want to. Information about the participants’ right to drop out of the trial and their responsibilities will be discussed before starting the trial during the informed consent meeting.  At the Institute for Advanced Medical Research, our top concerns are that you are safe and get the help you need in order to return to a higher quality of life. Our participants meet often with our on site physician who provides them with specialized care and monitoring. If you have any other questions or concerns about clinical research, please do not hesitate to call us at 770-817-9200.
